Winter’s in full-swing and we’re starting to feel it slowing us down. We find it harder to make it to the gym or go for an evening jog, and due to the lack of exercise, we aren’t sleeping our greatest. It can seem like a vicious circle during these cold months, but we have new found secret to increasing our motivation and energy this winter.

Did you know Cherry Juice has an exuberant amount of benefits? It can help with sleeping troubles, aches and pains, and muscle recovery to name a few. Cherries, tart to be specific, are high in anthocyanins, a type of antioxidant that fights inflammation in the body. Tart cherries also contain naturally occurring melatonin, which is known to help with a good night’s sleep. Having a good night’s sleep is the essential ingredient to having a productive, energized day.

Lately, we’ve been fond of mixing our Cherry Juice with Chia Seeds and San Pellegrino Sparkling Mineral Water to make a velvety smooth winter elixir. Get the recipe below.

Cherry Chia Elixir

3 Tbsp Chia Seeds
1 C Cherry Juice
4 Tbsp Agave
San Pellegrino Sparkling Water

  1. Warm the Cherry Juice in the microwave for 40 seconds.
  2. Stir in the Chia Seeds and let cool to room temperature.
  3. Add the Agave to the Cherry Chia mixture.
  4. When serving, pour each glass half full with the Cherry Chia mixture and top with San Pellegrino Sparkling Water and three ice cubes.
