The House of Ruinart is truly unique – it is France’s oldest Champagne House, established in 1729! Today, Ruinart produces among the region’s most beautiful Blanc de Blancs as well as rosé Champagnes. Joining us on this special evening is our most charming, knowledgeable friend Lacey Burke, Ruinart Ambassador. Lacey worked as a sommelier at prestigious restaurants in New York City, including Del Posto and Gotham Bar & Grill, and has been a panelist for Wine & Spirits and the New York Times “Wine of the Times”. You’ll enjoy Ruinart’s Blanc de Blancs and Rosé, as well as their rare Tête de Cuvées: “Dom Ruinart” 2004, the newly released 2006 vintage as well as “Dom Ruinart” Rosé. Lacey will share her insider’s view of terroir as well as her thoughts on perfect Champagne pairings, with appetizers from Plum Market’s Executive Chef Amado Lopez. We’ll also feature scrumptious goat cheese from Michigan’s own Idyll Farms.
