|Dear Plum Market Guests:
I am writing to update you on Plum Market’s response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As you are probably aware, several cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Michigan and Illinois. As such, the risk of contracting the virus for any individual person remains low at this time.
An increasing data set further suggests that the vast majority of those who contract the virus, especially children, adolescents, teenagers, and young adults, will experience mild to moderate symptoms and fully recover. Of course, we must, in our choices and behaviors, protect the health of all Plum Markets guests and Team Members, especially those most at risk of complications: the elderly and individuals with underlying medical conditions.
We continue to actively monitor the latest recommendations and guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Illinois Department of Heath and Human Services, and have developed action plans based on their specific recommendations.
Over the last twenty-four hours, the national situation and dialogue around this virus have evolved rapidly and dramatically. Even so, Plum Market intends to remain open to service the needs of its guests. We have contacted our suppliers and are doing everything in our power to obtain additional products which are in high demand. Rest assured that the health and wellbeing of all Plum Market guests and Team Members is of paramount importance to us. To that end, please be aware of the following precautions that Plum Market has instituted in its stores:
