Join us as we explore California terroir through an amazing lineup of Cakebread wines! Jack and Dolores Cakebread founded Cakebread Cellars in the early 1970’s, thanks to Jack’s work with famed photographer Ansel Adams in the Napa Valley, and their consequent purchase of a 22-acre Rutherford ranch. We’ll experience their journey from their original site, to their new showcase winery in Oakville. The wines will express vineyards ranging from cool Carneros, to valley floor sites in Rutherford, Oakville and Calistoga, to high altitude Howell Mountain, all the way up to Anderson Valley in Mendocino for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

With 20 years at Far Niente, Aaron Fishleder has brought deep experience in managing grape growing and wine production teams to Cakebread. This will be a strolling tasting, with Aaron speaking to us for 20 minutes as soon as all guests arrive, so do come early! You’ll taste 10 wines in all: Cakebread’s Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Chardonnay Reserve, and Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. We’ll open 5 vintages of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, including 2011, ’12 and ’13 Library Selections.
