2013 Vazart-Coquart Special Club Blanc de Blancs Brut Grand Cru Millesime Champagne
Winemaker Notes: A top cuvée from a modest, older house that delivers sublime concentration and complexity and is vintage dated and meant to last for the ages. The Club cuvée is a tribute to the "Club Trésor of Champagne," an association of independent wine growers who are constantly striving for excellence. Mineraled precision comes across as crushed oyster shell and makes one crave fresh Belons, topped in a sauce mignonette. Vazart-Coquart has worked their vineyards in Chouilly since 1785.
Blanc de Blancs Special Club is Vazart Coquart's prestige cuvée. Produced from only the highest quality grapes and aged for 6-7 years on cork (rather than crown cap), this is an exceptional blend. Production of Blanc de Blancs Special Club is limited to just 20,000 bottles per year. As one of the most senior members of the famous 'Club Trésors' (Special Cub), Vazart-Coquart must produce their best current cuvée in the Special Club embossed bottle shape.
