2014 Taub Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder
Winemaker Notes: Darkly colored, decadent and bold. Presents a perfumed nose of red and black fruits along with hints of dried flowers and toasted oak aromas. On the palate displays cherry, cassis, plum, and blackberry compote complemented by flavors of vanilla, mocha, graham cracker, baking spice, and cedar. Concentrated and layered with a smooth mouthfeel, boasting polished dusty tannins throughout and an exceedingly long finish.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Enthusiast - "High toned and savory in leather, tobacco and oak, this tiny production does a good job highlighting the feral appellation, with plenty of structure and intrigue. A richness of cassis and chocolate while away on the finish"
Wine & Spirits - "Notes of forest floor and wild strawberries… the fruit and tannins are beginning to mature and merge into chewy black-mushroom savor. The fragrance of the fruit has intensity in the middle, then…leaving a gentle, generous impression that brings you back for another sip"
