Winemaker Notes:  Deep garnet color with concentrated aromas of jam and morello cherry, plum and dark chocolate, with hints of black truffle and licorice. The palate is full, with softness and roundness to balance the alcohol content. The finish is very long, persistent and of great complexity. Full bodied red that will complement hearty stew dishes, grilled meats, and wild game. Blend: 40% Corvina Veronese, 40% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella

CRITICAL ACCLAIM

Wine Enthusiast - "This Riserva begins as an introvert at the dinner party, initially reserved, wrapped in layers of herbs and dark brooding fruits. But like any great conversation partner, patience reveals its depths. The wine unfolds gradually, each sip sharing new chapters of spice and complexity. This isn't a wine that broadcasts its story; rather, it's a slow-burning narrative that rewards attention and time. Think of it as that thoughtful friend who, once comfortable, offers the most engaging dialogue, especially when accompanied by a perfectly seared roast or mushrooms charred to earthy perfection. "

Wine Spectator - "A lovely, balanced red, with a sanguine thread of iron, tar and loamy earth underscoring concentrated notes of dried lavender and thyme, sassafras root, strawberry puree, and spiced orange peel. Fine-grained tannins bring a chalky texture to the otherwise long and silky finish. Corvina and Rondinella. Drink now through 2040."

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Here's a back vintage from Cesari, an estate founded by innovator Gerardo Cesari in 1936. The 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Bosan is a dark and thickly concentrated wine with sticky tones of resin, road paving, persimmon and dark fruit compote with brown sugar. The alcohol content is an almost-contained 15.5%. You feel the power of a warm vintage that produced especially concentrated fruit flavors. This is a classic blend of 40% Corvina Veronese, 40% Corvinone and 20% Rondinella, with 20,000 bottles made. A Big wine with a capital B, it is a lot to take in."
