2015 Chateau Lascombes Margaux

Dark purple towards garnet at the rim. On the nose, rich ripe raspberries, bramble, black cherries, licorice, smoky notes, mocha, cigar box. Full-bodied, deeply extracted, lots of baby fat here with a dense texture. Layers of ripe red berry fruits, followed by notes of graphite, cedar wood, pipe tobacco, nutmeg, toasted pecan, and black licorice, with hints of bittersweet chocolate, medium acidity and chewy tannins coating the mouth on the long and plush finish. This is the first kosher cuvee for this 2nd cry Margaux, a great vintage to start with.
