2016 Château Anthonic Moulis-en-Médoc
Winemaker Notes: A deep ruby color and a bouquet that is both intense and elegant. Aromas of ripe fruit, forest undergrowth and oak combine for an attractive complexity. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, the wine’s maturity is already evident, and follows through the mid-palate to a smooth and powerful finish, the signature of a great vintage. The tanins, with an unusual persistence, give a sensation of fullness for a gracefully velvet finish. » Review from wine expert Marco Balsimelli. During vinification, the wine is aged 12 months in oak barrels, of which 25 to 33% is new.
Varietals: 78% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, .5% Cabernet Franc, .5% Petit Verdot
Organic
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Enthusiast - "The balance between tannins and dark black fruits has given an elegant wine, dominated by the black-currant flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine needs to age further, so drink from 2022."
