2017 Anthill Farms Pinot Noir Anderson Valley
Winemaker Notes: A light garnet color alerts you of the lifted, elegant wine ahead. Scents of wild strawberry, fennel seed, coriander and warm clay soil are expressive and translate onto the palate along with notes of crunchy raspberry. Seamless, ethereal, and supremely easy to drink and enjoy. Drink over the next 5 years. Not bottled at the time of review.
VINEYARD NOTES
With this Pinot, we look to create a food-friendly, nuanced wine that represents the unique character of the Anderson Valley. Somewhat remote from most of Northern California’s wine-growing districts, this valley shelters a surprisingly harmonious blend of the wild and the civilized: in one vista, one can see sheep ranches, redwood groves, apple orchards, and impenetrable oak scrub.
