2018 Cotarella 'Ferentano' Roscetto Lazio
Winemaker Notes: On the nose it presents a rich range of olfactory sensations going from banana to pineapple, from vegetal to vanilla scents. The taste is assertive, rich, soft and full with an excellent long lingering finish.
This label represents the journey that the Cotarella Family has undertaken towards the enhancement of an ancient native vine of the Montefiascone area, the Roscetto, a grape with a small and compact bunch which, contained in the production, if well cultivated and vinified, thanks to the good sugar ratio acidity and the particular aromatic vein, is able to offer a wine with great body and extract.
The selected grapes that arrive in the cellar are subjected to cryomaceration treatment, through which the various characteristics of Roscetto are enhanced. The first part of the alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats at a temperature of 13-15 ° c. The second part of the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques where the wine continues its evolution for 4 months.
