2018 Craggy Range Pinot Noir Martinborough
Winemakers Notes: Hand-harvested from selected blocks at our Te Muna Vineyard, this Pinot Noir exudes mouth-filling fresh red fruit flavors. With structurally integrated tannins, this wine is instantly appealing and deliciously ‘Martinborough’. Gentle handling with whole-bunch fermentation and delicate French oak Barrique treatment ensures a floral wine which embodies the distinctive intense fruit characters of the region. An elegant, silky texture with a delicately balanced tannin structure and a texturally dry finish.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Enthusiast - "This is a polished, balanced, fairly rich Pinot from Martinborough's largest winery. It starts out a touch reductive, showing mealy oak, but as it opens shows more plump red berry fruit, undergrowth and gentle spice characters. Tannins have a savory, sappy tug on the silky fruit in the mouth. There's an almost surprising freshness here and a good length to the finish. Drink now with a meal or cellar until around 2029."
