2018 Perticaia 'Spoleto' Trebbiano Spoletino Umbria

Winemaker Notes: Straw yellow, the nose expresses notes of tropical fruit, yellow flowers and a slight hint of hydrocarbons. In the mouth it is broad, tasty, with great freshness and flavor. A wine that is characterized by a marked acidity and a beautiful structure. The finish is excellent, long and engaging.

That of Spoleto Trebbiano is a beautiful story. It is in fact a vine that has only recently been rediscovered and which has always been linked to these territories. A vine that is actually very different from the much more famous Tuscan Trebbiano and that gives unmistakable wines for the hinted aromatic character, for the marked acidity, for the beautiful structure. The interpretation of Perticaia then manages to combine the natural characteristics of the wine to what is the unmistakable corporate style. Here is therefore a wine of great elegance, fresh and satisfying. Already very good today but capable of giving surprises and emotions even decades later if well preserved in the cellar.
