2019 Andremily Mourvèdre Santa Barbara
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2019 Mourvèdre is a barrel sample blend of 81% Mourvèdre, 18% Syrah and 1% Viognier, coming from Alta Mesa vineyard (Santa Barbara County), Bien Nacido vineyard (Santa Maria), Larner vineyard (Ballard Canyon), and G2 vineyard (Ballard Canyon). The wine was vinified using 75% whole cluster and aged for around 21 months in 50% new French oak barrique and 600-liter demi-muid and 50% used French barrique. (98-100pts)"
Jeb Dunnuck - "Few out there do this variety better than Jim Binns, and the 2019 Mourvedre is stunning stuff, offering classic smoked meats, iron, ground pepper, kirsch, and darker fruits. I love its tannins, it’s full-bodied, and has richness with no sensation of weight or heaviness, followed by a great finish. The blend is 81% Mourvedre, 18% Syrah, and 1% Viognier that saw lots of stems (75%) and will spend 21 months in 50% new wood. (96-98pts)"
