2019 Crossroads by Rudd Sauvignon Blanc Mt. Veeder
Winemaker Notes: Immediately, one’s nose is met with lovely stone fruit, hints of lime zest, and white lily which is complemented by a freshness and liveliness on the palate. Notes of peach translates from nose to palate providing a lingering texture and richness, balancing the bright acidity that follows through from beginning to end. With each further sip, the Sauvignon Blanc reveals to the taster intricate layers of complexity.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Crossroads by Rudd contains 16% Semillon and was aged in 23% new oak with the rest in used oak, concrete and amphora. It comes skipping out of the glass with vivacious scents of pink grapefruit, passion fruit and green guava plus suggestions of honeysuckle, candle wax and crushed rocks. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers a decadently oily texture with loads of freshness to counter and mouth-coating tropical fruit layers, finishing with great length."
