Winemaker Notes: Beautiful garnet purplish and dark colour. The nose express black fruits aromas, spices and chocolate notes. On the palate, the wine is powerful. Tannins are silky and smooth. Beautiful length.

TERROIR - Our vineyard of Echezeaux Grand Cru is divided into 2 plots located for 80% in the climat ‘Echezeaux Du-Dessus’ planted in 1922 and 20% in the climat ‘Quartiers de Nuits’ planted in 1945 Total area: 2.83 acres.
WINEMAKING - To preserve their integrity, grapes are carefully harvested and sorted out by hand. Grapes are partially destemmed (70%). Before beginning the alcoholic fermentation we make a cold prefermentation during 4 to 6 days to work on the phelonic component’s extraction. Then full maceration lasts for 15 days during which we’ll use only pigeages (punching the cap). Intensity and numbers are lead to the concentration of tannins, perfumes and colour. Alcoholic fermentation is realized with natural yeasts.
Burghound - "A very ripe nose features notes of chocolate, menthol, cassis and a variety of spice elements, all of which is trimmed in generous but not invasive wood. The suave, round and velvety flavors are also rich to the point of opulence before tightening up quickly into a very firmly structured and tightly wound finish that displays very fine length. This compact and quite serious effort is going to require extended patience. (91-94pts)"
