2019 La Pelle Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Napa Valley
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Reserve is truly one-of-a-kind. Predominately made with grapes harvested from our prestigious vineyard sites: Alluvium in western Saint Helena and Ceniza in southeast Napa Valley in the Coombsville district. The wine is dense and concentrated with an explosive bouquet of pure Cassis, licorice, and blackberry fruit. Secondary notes of graphite, toasted spices, and traces of toasted French oak. Rich, full-bodied, and sophisticated yet powerful. The blend is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot, aged in 75% new oak. Layers of dark druit, opulent with perfect balance between tannins and acid. This vintage is already approachable with beautiful round texture, hints of sweetness, and a lingering finish. It will open up nicely with decanting if you are looking to drink now and will age finely for 25+ years.
