2019 Purlieu Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Winemaker Notes: Dark magenta in the glass, this muscular wine showcases Napa Valley terroir at its best. The nose opens with blue fruit and blackcurrant aromas that uplift and entice. A dense, richly fruited core of blueberry, boysenberry and blackcurrant commands attention, with subtler notes of graphite and baking spices adding dimension. Powerful and fresh, this full-bodied wine sustains spicy blueberry, clove and sweet dried mint aromas through a satisfying finish.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Vinous - "The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) saturates the palate with blackberry jam, chocolate, spice, new leather, licorice and cedar. This sumptuous, exuberant wine is a terrific introduction to the higher-end wines in the Purlieu range. It's definitely a show stopper, that much is obvious. Vineyard sites are Sleeping Lady, Caldwell and Georges III."
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon comes skipping out of the glass with exuberant notes of freshly crushed black cherries, mulberries and blackcurrant pastilles, plus wafts of chocolate box and aniseed. Full-bodied, taut and grainy-textured, it has lovely freshness and great purity on the finish."

Jeb Dunnuck - "The appellation 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is a winner, offering ample plum and blueberry fruits, notes of candied violets and incense, medium to full body, and a fruit-loaded, ripe, heady style on the palate that’s a joy to drink."
