Winemaker Notes: Our Rodney Strong winemaking team has been growing Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon since the early 1970s, when Rod Strong first planted both varietals in the heart of Alexander Valley. Today, we continue to grow grapes that display the deep dark flavors and mature tannins typical of these noble varietals. Sonoma County is where Rod Strong set his roots and today the Klein family upholds the tradition of crafting exceptional wines from this iconic growing region. This rich supple wine bursts with blackberry and dark cherries with hints of spice followed by lush, rounded tannins and a lingering finish.
