2020 Chateau d’Esclans 'Garrus' Rose Cotes de Provence
Winemaker Notes: Considered Chateau d'Esclans' finest wine, made from a single vineyard of nearly 100 year-old Grenache vines, entirely fermented and aged in large French oak barrels, the powerful and elegant Garrus was at the heart to Sacha Lichine’s vision in 2006 to make Rosé grand. Today Garrus is firmly established as a world class, iconic luxury Rosé. It is an impressive and concentrated Rosé with a creamy finish featuring rich and spicy notes rivaling any top white wine or prestige Champagne.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
James Suckling - "Extremely perfumed with dried peaches, passion fruit and some mineral elements. Ever so subtle. Full-bodied, yet so tight and focused, with a really long and vertical texture of fine tannins and beautiful fruit, as well as bright acidity."
Decanter - "Warm, spicy oak aromas with some toast, vanilla and ginger. Lush flavours of ginger, honeysuckle and almond flood the palate and a silky, creamy texture follows. Very complex and inviting. Blend: 55% Grenache, 45% Vermentino."
