Winemaker Notes: The Chateau Desmirail 2020 seduces with its balance of ripe tannins, alcoholic power and delicate acidity. Of high quality, this vintage with great aging potential is one of the property's greatest successes, reminiscent of the 2000 vintage.

Vinous - "The 2020 Desmirail is a gorgeous, promising wine. Silky tannins wrap around a core of inky red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, spice, menthol and mocha are all framed by discreet oak. Plush, sensual and inviting, Desmirail has so much to recommend it. Sweet floral accents and a kick of sweet spice brighten up the finish. This is very nicely done."

Decanter - "Smoked oak on the nose. This shows elegant fruits, with a silky texture, and a deftness to the winemaking. It dips through the mid palate however and could do with a little more generosity to the fruits to really carry off its intention. A yield of 40hl/ha. Tasted twice."
