2020 COS Nero di Lupo Sicily

Winemaker Notes: COS Nero di Lupo comes from vineyards located in the Sicilian municipality of Vittoria. These are 15-year-old vines planted 250 metres above sea level on sandy limestone soils. Ecological agriculture is used and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.

In the winery, the meticulously selected COS Nero di Lupo grapes are gently crushed and they begin to ferment spontaneously with native yeasts. The wine then ages in cement tanks for 18 to 24 months.

COS Nero di Lupo is an example of everything the leading Sicilian variety can offer. A true Nero d’Avola with all its generosity, seduction and minerality.
