2020 Domaine de la Garrigue 'Cuvee Romaine' Cotes du Rhone Rouge
Winemaker Notes:The Cuvée Romaine is a blend made from the more precocious tanks at Domaine la Garrigue. As such, it is in fact a declassified Vacqueyras not needing additional time in concrete. Therefore it can be viewed as a really easy-going “Vacqueyras” or an amazingly complex and serious Côtes-du-Rhône.
Jeb Dunnuck - "Not yet bottled, the 2020 Côtes Du Rhône Cuvée Romaine checks in as 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah. It has a beautiful bouquet of red and black fruits, garrigue, pepper, and spice to go with a medium to full-bodied, rich, beautifully textured style on the palate. With a level of purity and complexity well above its humble price point, it's a no brainer purchase."
