2020 Louis Jadot Chassagne-Montrachet Cote de Beaune
Situated in the south of the Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet is one of the five villages that make up the prestigious Côte des Blancs. At altitudes varying from 250 to 350 meters, the vineyards benefit from exposures ranging from east to south and southwest and the wine comes mainly from marly limestone soils. After a long fermentation in tanks, the wine is aged in barrel before bottling.
Wine Spectator - "Rich and charming, with lemon cake, white peach and spice flavors finely woven into the creamy texture. Balanced and leaves a mouthwatering impression on the finish."
Burghound - "Agreeably fresh aromas of resin, rosemary oil and apple compote complement the delicious, acceptably dense and attractively textured flavors that exhibit good if not special length on the rustic and lemony finale. (87-89pts)"
