2020 Stags' Leap Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
Winemaker Notes: For Christophe Paubert, Winemaker and General Manager at Stags’ Leap Winery, the identity of a wine is found through the terroir. Christophe’s career has spanned the industry from sales to winemaking, and his impressive background includes positions at Chateau d’Yquem and Gruaud-Larose as well as projects in Chile, Spain and Washington State. But it was the terroir of Stags’ Leap that drew him to California.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
James Suckling - "A very polished Cabernet sauvignon with currants, chocolate, and hazelnut. It’s medium- to full-bodied with silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Very long. The texture and flavor stays with you for a long time. One for the cellar but fun to taste. Best after 2025."
Wine Enthusiast - "Bright red cherry notes blend with deeper blackberries and blueberries in this intensely fruity, pure-tasting wine. Moderate tannins and good acidity shape the generous flavors for good balance and an appetizing texture."
