2020 Two Hands 'Gnarly Dudes' Shiraz Barossa Valley
Winemaker Notes: Deep red with a dark crimson core, this wine offers aromas of black cherry pastille, with complex notes of wood smoke, lavender, fresh leather, vanilla bean & black peppercorn. Medium to full bodied hits the palate, with lots of buoyant, bright, black fruits, covering the true spectrum from blackberry pastille, blackberry bush, dark cherry and mulberry. Notes of dried tobacco and dried herb, give a nod to the vintage. The tannins build through the mid palate and frame the wine nicely, finishing in a nice chewy, rolling fashion, meshing beautifully with the frame work of the wines. Rolls through the palate as only a Barossa Shiraz can expanding to every nook and cranny of your mouth, creating a lovely density. The notes of black pepper, coal dust and dried lavender, give excellent appeal carrying it to the finish.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Spectator - "There's lots to admire in this compact red, which offers dense, firm tannins and accents of Earl Grey tea, smoked paprika, bay leaf, blackberry, blueberry and a hint of sweet mint on the finish. Drink now."
