Jeb Dunnuck - "While I'm not sure of the blend, I suspect the 2021 Double Lucky is mostly Grenache with a mix of other varieties. It has a beautiful kirsch and darker berry-driven profile revealing gorgeous spring flower, iron, rose, and peppery nuances. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a supple, seamless profile, ultra-fine tannins, and a wonderful sense of freshness and purity. It's drinking beautifully today and should easily evolve for a decade. "


Vinous - "The 2021 Double Lucky #8 is spicy from the first tilt of the glass, wafting up with notes of dried strawberry, mint leaf and orange sorbet complicated by hints of olive tapenade. Wickedly fresh, it sweeps across the palate with a juicy blend of black raspberries and sweet spice, gaining a saturating tension toward the close. It finishes long and staining yet only gently tannic, leaving resonances of wild blueberries and lavender to linger."
