Winemaker's Notes: Exotic tree and tropical fruits - peach, apricot, passion fruit, guava, mango. Bursts with white flowers and Asian spice. Fresh, clean and extremely aromatic. Explosive acidity, especially for Viognier, with mid-palate richness while still remaining light on the palate. Very concentrated and complex.
From Madeline Triffon MS: “Just enough acidity to keep it fresh, with richness coming from lees contact and neutral oak. From a growing region in the northern Columbia Valley, Lake Chelan. Ideal for all sorts of shellfish – steamed lobster, sautéed scallops, fresh shrimp with remoulade sauce, yum.”
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Enthusiast - "The aromas are intriguing, with notes of mineral, peach, herb and citrus. The palate is focused and flavorful, with a sleek styling to the seamless stone fruit flavors. A tart finish follows. It's notably fresh and vibrant for this often ponderous variety."
