2021 Raen Pinot Noir ‘Royal St. Robert’ Sonoma Coast
Winemaker Notes - Aromas of wild strawberries, crushed dark red cherries, and rose petals fill the bowl. Black tea, wet crushed rock, and notes of "where the forest meets the meadow" yield to thyme and more delicate floral notes with finely-grained tannins leading to a long sumptuous finish.
100 % Whole cluster • Native fermentation • Aged in neutral French oak barrels • Bottled without fining or filtration • 10 acres
Critical Acclaim
James Suckling - "Extremely spicy with iron, forest flower, black tea, and dried strawberry aromas, following through to a medium to full body, with lovely velvety tannins that are integrated and refined, with a long and flavorful finish. Yet it always remains refined and poised in a exemplary way. Needs three or four years still to show it’s true self. Drink or hold."
