2021 Resonance Pinot Noir Willamette Valley
WINEMAKER'S NOTES A delicate and intense nose of violet, wild strawberry, blueberry, Rainier cherry, cloves, oak and cedar. The palate reveals a harmonious wine, balanced between fresh fruits, fine but expressive tannins and a vibrant acidity. A delicate but persistent finish.
The spring was relatively cool with mild frosts in early April. Although there was no damage to the vineyards, it impacted fruit set resulting in small clusters and berries. The summer was warm and dry, with heat and hydric stress at the end of August, leading to low disease pressure, and high-quality fruits. All the lots revealed fruity expression and a beautiful texture. Macerations were long, between three and four weeks, and then all the wines have aged in barrels for fifteen months.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Spectator - "Precise and elegantly structured, with detailed raspberry, savory tea and crushed stone accents that gather richness and tension toward refined tannins."
