2021 Domaine Taupenot-Merme Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Burghound - " There is a touch of wood spice on the more elegant if not more complex nose that offers up notes of cool red currant, spice and subtle floral scents. There is a refined mouthfeel to the supple, intense and well-detailed medium weight flavors that possess good mid-palate density as well as fine punch on the attractively persistent and youthfully austere finish. Lovely and this too is fashioned in an understated style. Rating: 91-94." (1.23)
Vinous - "The 2021 Clos des Lambrays Grand Cru is represented by a 'whopping' 170 liters, the usual volume for this monopole-busting cuvee. The bouquet is beautifully-delineated, focused and becoming more floral with time. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannins, fine acidity, white pepper and black pepper, quite persistent on the finish. A sappy delight. Rating: 91-93." (11.22)
