CRITICAL ACCLAIM
James Suckling - "Such beautiful tannins here that are refined and beautiful and bring you deep into the medium to full body. Currants and berries. Refined. (95-96pts)"
Wine Independent - "The 2022 Prieure-Lichine is deep garnet-purple in color. It tumbles out with eager-to-please scents of juicy blackcurrant, Morello cherries, and black raspberries, followed by hints of cedar, violets, and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate is densely packed with juicy black fruit and floral accents, supported by beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins and a refreshing backbone, finishing long and fragrant. This is a very impressive showing for Prieure-Lichine. (93-95pts)"
Wine Enthusiast - "This has a dense core (with generous black fruits) and is very perfumed and ripe. The wine has a fine structure as well as an open character. (93-95pts)"
Decanter - "Fragrant and concentrated, a lovely perfume on the nose. Easy, cool, almost light fruit on the palate, doesn't have the density of some, but it's sleek and taught - streamlined and keeps the focus. Tannins are fine and well integrated and this is a slick, quite suave - if not quite exciting- take on the vintage. Well made, nice concentration and tannic impact. Tasted twice."
