2022 Desperada 'Saturn Return' Red Blend Central Coast

Winemaker Notes:  Walking backwards upside down... in plum pumps, chocolate chalk tights, cassis casket, licking the hand that feeds you, electric exhale, Idris Elba: write me a song.

She is Cab Sauv based and follows a Bordeaux path. Truly blended in the cellar... versus the destination being determined in the vineyard as so many of the other wines are. Each barrel is tasted, graded, tasted again... and then again... Knowing when to stand back, accompany and complement, this blend feels sultry, comfortable, and balanced... I’m so proud to present this to the world, though hardly in penitence.  Blend: 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petite Sirah.

Harvested in October and November 2022. Fermented with native yeasts in small fermentors and aged in 30% new French oak for 20 months. 100% woman owned, unfined, unfiltered, sustainable, vegan, cruelty free, and pet friendly.
