Winemaker's Notes: The 2022 Giulia Negri "Marassio" Barolo is an exotic and high-toned expression from the highest vineyard in the Barolo zone (536m), located at the peak of the Serradenari hill. On the nose, it is notably exotic and saline, offering unique aromas of seashells and marine minerals alongside floral notes of summer flowers and mint. The palate is lighter in weight than typical La Morra Barolos but possesses great depth, showing succulent red berries, cherries, and a touch of caramel. It is characterized by its elegance and lean, sinewy structure, with a distinct salty, soil-driven finish that reflects its limestone-rich terroir.
