2022 Two Hands Angels' Share Shiraz McLaren Vale
Winemaker Notes: Powerful and rich, deep dark red with a bright core. Notes of blue fruits accented by plum, blueberry and mulberry tones. Complexing notes of briar, bay leaf, coriander seeds, dried rose petals and ash. Demonstrating a level of restraint for a McLaren Vale red, this Shiraz provides sweet blue fruit notes of fresh blueberry, juniper and mulberry bracketed by a cleansing pop of acidity and savoury tannin. The sweet fruit entry gently yields to savory notes of dried bay leaf, briar, dried herbs and dried rose petals. A wine of sneaky length that catches you off-guard, it slowly builds across the palate. The late palate is punctuated by notes of ash and wild game.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2022 Angel's Share Shiraz is saturated with black cherry, raspberry, licorice and pink peppercorn-rolled pastrami. In the mouth, it is all of this: silky and spicy and concentrated but not heavy. Nicely done. Rating: 91+"
Wine Spectator - "Packs a laser beam of pure fruit flavors, including boysenberry, blackberry and blueberry at the core, while accents of dried rose petal, toasted cumin and fresh sage linger on the velvety finish. Drink now. 3,500 cases imported."
