2023 Domaine de La Solitude 'Cornelia Constanza' Rouge Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Winemaker Notes: The grapes come from the oldest vineyard of the Domaine de la Solitude planted by my great-grandfather at the beginning of the last century. It is located on the western slope of Crau on a terroir of safre. Planted mainly with centennial Grenache this plot gives exceptional maturities. 100% black Grenache. This great Terroir is always vinified separately but only the great years, 5 vintages of the last 10 the Cornelia Constanza is bottled.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "More oak-driven than the estate’s Tradition bottling, the 2023 Chateauneuf du Pape Cornelia Constanza unfurls in the glass with aromas of spices, licorice, dark berries and garrigue. Medium- to full-bodied, seamless and enveloping, it’s a concentrated, dense wine supported by a solid tannic chassis and concluding with a long, spicy finish. This pure Grenache Noir, matured for 15 months in 30% new oak, 40% foudres and the remainder in concrete tanks, will benefit from additional time in bottle to fully integrate its oak influence and reveal greater finesse."
