2023 Left Foot Charley Rose Old Mission Peninsula

Winemaker Notes:  Last year was the beginning of a new perspective on our dry Rosé, a time when we found that Dornfelder, a “grandchild” of Blaufränkisch in the grape’s family tree, lent support and body to our Blau Rosé. While the Dornfelder alone was too soft for the elegance we expect in Rosé, it does lend strong mid-tones to the palate. It gives perfect support to the qualities we love in Blau.

We full-cluster pressed the Dornfelder and two Blaufränkisch vineyards independently before blending. The resulting wine is delicately hued, yet has intense berry aromas, all tied together with well-rounded texture and palate. This is a fresh, aromatic, and dry Rosé, and ready to be enjoyed immediately.
