Black Dragon Meadery 'White' Gooseberry Mead Lake Michigan Shore

Meadery Notes:  White is an English and Welsh semi-sweet melomel made with white honeys, clover & alfalfa, and seasoned with gooseberries. Since white currants are scarce, we decided to use a related berry fromt he same Ribes genus, producing a similar flavor while maintaining the light color. In keeping with olde-centuries Welsh tradition, we named it for the color of the mead it produces.
