2019 Vincent Girardin '1er Cru Les Caillerets' Chassagne-Montrachet
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "A notable success this year is the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets. Unwinding in the glass with aromas of citrus oil, mandarin orange, white flowers, freshly baked bread and hazelnuts, it's medium to full-bodied, layered and taut, with a concentrated core of fruit, that's girdled by bright acids and chalky dry extract. Long and resonant, it's a tiny cuvée that's worth a special effort to seek out."
Burghound - "A much more expressive and intensely floral suffused nose speaks of both white and yellow peach, rosemary oil and a whiff of exotic spice. There is fine volume and mid-palate concentration to the overtly powerful and sleekly muscular larger-scaled flavors that exude an attractive minerality that adds a sense of lift to the impressively long finale. This balanced effort should be approachable young but age well too. *Outstanding* (91-94pts)"
