2018 Two Mountain Winery "Brothers' Reserve" Copeland Vineyard Syrah Reserve Yakima Valley
Winemaker Notes: Deep, dark, luxurious. With its heavy body and plush tannins, this Syrah is a weighted blanket in a bottle, ready to envelope you in a reassuring embrace. Sultry aromas of rich earth, stone fruit compote, and a hint of silky pork fat on the nose shepherd in flavors of elderberry, tobacco, and a well-oiled saddle. Most enjoyable with fire and profound thinking(Patrick recommends use cases for AI).
100% Syrah. 36 months on 100% new French oak. 41 cases produced. 14.1% ABV.
The origin story of this project is rooted in a time when the Two Mountain team consisted only of the Brothers Rawn. Blending a wine in those days consisted of Matt picking his favorite barrel and Patrick doing the same. Whichever barrels were on both lists made the cut. Simple as that. Too young and naive to make it more complicated. Today the Brothers rawn sitll pick their favorite barrels, from their favorite blocks from their favorite estate vineyard sites. Aged a little longer. Loved a little more. No playbook. No 'market insights'. No annoying budget. No rules. What we want to make. How we want to make it. We invite you to try our limited production line of the Brothers' favorites.
