It is a natural wine that is packed with raspberry, strawberry and cranberry notes. In fact the color makes it look like cranberry juice. The Frappato grape makes this a very fruit forward wine, however the bit of Nero D’Avola gives it a savory quality. Stupendous value at $24.99."

Winemaker Notes: Mortellito is tucked away in the corner of Sicily that owner Dario Serrintino refers to as "a desert next to the beach." Dario attributes the limestone coast as the key to producing elegant wines with "tension, freshness, and complex salinity." Cala Niuru is made with macerated Frappato and Nero d'Avola.
