2020 Turtle Rock ‘Willow's Cuvee’ Red Blend Paso Robles
Winemaker Notes: Our Willow's Cuvee has always been a beautiful GSM blend. We rounded off the 2020 vintage with a splash of Graciano to enhance the tannin and spice. It's ruby in color and draws you in with a luscious bouquet. We aged this wine in 65% new French oak for 22 months. Bing cherry and raspberry fruit coupled with fresh alder wood and peppercorn spice. Consistent tannin across the mid-pallet yet soft with a long delightful finish. Cases produced 383. Enjoy now until 2032.
Composition 48% Grenache, 23% Syrah, 15% Mataro, 14% Graciano
Vineyard James Berry and G2
Aging 22 months in new and neutral French oak
Appellation Willow Creek District
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Jeb Dunnuck - "A blend of 42% Grenache, 28% Syrah, 22% Mourvèdre, and the rest Tempranillo, the 2020 Willow’s Cuvee shows a richer, medium to full-bodied, meaty, peppery style that carries quality tannins, good mid-palate depth, and outstanding length on the finish. More red fruit-driven, this spicy, clean, balanced Rhône-like blend should drink nicely right out of the gate. (93-95pts)"
