2018 Crémant d'Alsace 'Eléonore' Extra Brut
Winemaker Notes: Light gold color and elegant bubbles. The clean and fresh nose expresses hints of exotic fruit while the light and fruity mid-palate is complimented by a lively lemony finish.
Eléonore is the first name of G-man’s daughter. Its origin comes from the Greek “eleos” meaning “compassion”. And this wine was indeed made with the most compassion and care for our planet by following the rules of French organic farming. The label was designed by Gerry Greene, a Michigan based artist and Eléonore’s great grandmother.
This crémant was born from the partnership we are proud to have with domaine Joseph Cattin, a family owned winery since 1720. Domaine Cattin has been well established in the heart of the Alsacian vineyard for 11 generations. Today, Anaïs and Jacques Cattin are at the head of this superb estate, totaling 65 hectares (160 acres) of vines in and around the village of Voegtlinshoffen near the famous town of Colmar.
Dosage Extra-Brut at 6 grammes per liter. 80% Pinot Banc / 20 % Chardonnay.
