MY BIO BY WINEMAKER JORDAN FIORENTINI
The 2019 Epoch White is our characteristic combination of Grenache Blanc, Viognier, and Roussanne but with a twist: we have added a new fermentation vessel to the mix for complexity, a French oak Foudre (or more simply called an oak cask). Having been raised in various concrete vessels and oak formats, this wine is mineral-laced with ripe yellow peach, lemon oil, green pear, fresh cream, wet clay, and a hint of brown baking spices. Our white is an ace at pairing with some of the most challenging foods (artichokes and Thai or Mexican dishes) and will not disappoint with a few years of cellar age.
Jeb Dunnuck - "The same Grenache Blanc-dominated blend as the 2018, the 2019 White is a pretty, lively, medium-bodied white offering classy notes of crushed citrus, nectarines, and white flowers. It shines for its freshness yet still brings plenty of texture and length on the palate." 91-93pts
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2019 Epoch White is made up of 47% Grenache Blanc, 42% Viognier and 11% Roussanne. It has lovely honeyed aromas with notions of hay, hazelnut, elderflower and white stone fruits. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, gently leesy texture and bright pops of freshness on the long, gently honeyed finish. I'd love to taste this with a couple years of bottle age. 585 cases produced."
