2007 Marramiero 'Dante Marramiero' Riserva Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Winemaker Notes: Garnet red, burnt wood, acetone, dark berry on the nose. This is a very complex wine with savory flavors, herbs, sea salt, steak sauce, blackberry, prunes, figs and coffee on the palate. Medium tannins and a small amount of acid. This Dante Marramiero is their highest peak cuvee and is produced only in good years. This wine is a masterpiece of Montepulciano which will be released over 10 years from the harvest of grapes, after aging in a barrel for 4 years and aging in a bottle for 6 more years.
