2018 BRAND Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Winemaker’s Notes: Brand's flagship wine, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon reflects the power, opulence and finesse of their uppermost Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards located at 1400 feet elevation atop Pritchard Hill. The wine displays notes of crushed blackberry and wild sage followed by a vibrant and luxuriant palate with its suggestions of fresh plum, frankincense and cocoa powder. The wine is expressive, especially decanted while young, and will become seductively nuanced with aging of 5-10 years.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The rich, cedar-stained 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon needs a bit of time still to digest its oak. Menthol and toast dominate the nose, but give it a bit of time in the glass and the cassis and blackberry fruit begins to come through. It's full-bodied and velvety in feel, not quite as broad and plush as the Proprietary Blend but perhaps a touch more focused and streamlined."
