2019 Chateau Lanessan Haut-Medoc
Cabernet sauvignon (54%), merlot (36%) and petit verdot (10%).
James Suckling - "Currant, lead pencil and fresh rose-petal aromas follow through to a full body, round and nicely chewy tannins and a long finish. Balanced and polished. (92-93pts)"
Decanter - "Inky medium to full intensity purple colour, this is an excellent Lanessan, stuffed full of Haut-Médoc character. Really does a good job of balancing fruit tannins and acidities, without straying too far into any one territory. Cassis and bilberry are the dominant fruits, slightly rustic in the right way, and good lift through the finish. Another impressive vintage from winemaker Paz Espejo."
