2019 Elyse Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley

Winemaker Notes: Crafted from hundred year old vines, this Zinfandel opens with a nose of blackberry, crushed peppercorns, and roasted coffee beans. The brambly nature continues to the pallet with flavors of mixed berry pie and wild raspberry preserves. Dense and packed, yet polished on the finish, this wine displays the unique character that only ancient vines can achieve.

One of the smallest AVAs in California, Dry Creek Valley has a winning combination of ideal geography and climate. Fertile, well-drained soils create concentrated varietal character while long, warm days, bookended by cool nights, allow grapes to reach full phenolic ripeness and balance.
