2021 Resonance 'Founder's Block' Pinot Noir Yamhill-Carlton
WINEMAKER'S NOTES The nose is complex, with blackberry, lilac, black pepper, tobacco leaf, forest floor and noble wood fragrance. The palate reveals an elegant balance of ripe tannins, black fruits, vibrant minerality and long finish.
Founder's Blocks reunites these properties that were once part of a singular estate, blending select blocks from Resonance vineyard with the masssle plantings from Jolis Monts. This wine expresses the history of the land, the inspiration of the founders and the collaborative energy between Oregon and Burgundy as reflected in two reunited vineyards.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - "The 2021 Pinot Noir Founder’s Blocks has detailed scents of blackberry jam, tea leaves, bergamot and mushrooms. The medium-bodied palate is powerful and broody with gently rustic tannins and vibrant acidity, and it has a softly flinty finish."
Wine Spectator - "Deeply structured and a bit brooding right now, this red offers precise blueberry and cherry flavors that are accented by forest floor, black tea and crushed stone notes as this gathers tension toward medium-grained tannins."
