2021 Shared Notes Sauvignon Blanc ‘Les Pierres qui Decident’ Russian River
Bursting with an aromatic intensity rarely seen in Sauvignon Blanc, the Shared Notes “Les Pierres qui Décident” is a stunning display; where concentration meets delicacy. Incredibly bright notes of fresh lime, citrus blossom, and lemon peel are backed by a distinct salinity formed from the coastal influences of this Russian River Valley site. Brief skin contact prior to pressing gives added texture to the palate, while aging on the lees in 132 gallon French oak puncheons maintains purity of the vibrant, crisp flavors in this refreshingly dry wine. Bracing acidity on the finish provides the pillar that will allow this wine to continue aging for many years to come.
CRITICAL ACCLAIM
Wine Spectator - "Distinctive, revealing robust Key lime, yuzu, lemon verbena and lemon zest notes, with a savory thread of saline and a touch of dried ginger and graham cracker. As powerful as this is, there is a sense of restraint, while a refreshing thread of acidity keeps the flavors in focus. Drink now through 2029."
James Suckling - "A perfumed nose of peaches, bell pepper, dragon fruit and rosemary stem. Medium- to full-bodied with quite a bit of concentration and heft. Linear and generous with bright acidity and very good clarity. Nicely composed. 100% sauvignon blanc. Drink now."
